Will I Have Permanent Or Dissolvable Stitches?Dr. Solomon typically uses nylon sutures (which require removal in a week) in the front of the earlobe and dissolvable stitches on the backside of the earlobe. This gives the best scar in the visible area.
In circumstances where a patient states they are traveling or cannot return for suture removal in a week dissolvable sutures can be used.
