I have researched the procedure and understand there are two methods performed. Which method do you use and why?
Thanks, Cathy.

Chin implants can be placed either through the mouth called transoral approach or through an external incision below the chin. I prefer to place the implants by making a small incision under the chin and placing the implant externally.
The advantage of the external approach is better placement and a lower infection rate. The disadvantage is a small scar under the chin. In most cases the scar heals well and is difficult to see
