Yes, there is a procedure to repair slit or elongated earlobe piercings. The hole has to be completely removed surgically; then, both sides of the hole are closed with a few small sutures. The Otoplasty surgery procedure usually takes about ten minutes per ear lobe; the side effects are uncommon. The most common side effect would be that the ear lobe shape can be altered slightly from the procedure.
Earlobe Repair is a very common procedure. Scarring is usually minimal. Cost is generally 300 dollars ($300 CAD) per ear.
